If you want to spend a day in the city protagonist of the Italian Renaissance this tour is perfect for you! The driver will wait for you at your hotel in Rome and on board our luxury sedan or minivan you will arrive in the city of Florence.
Departure from Rome is recommended at around 07.30am.
Before reaching the heart of the city, Piazzale Michelangelo is a mandatory stop where you can admire a breathtaking panorama of the whole of Florence. After the short stop, the driver will accompany you near the Santa Maria Novella station from where you can start the walking tour (on request you can find the recommended itinerary by car).

Florence is a perfect union between art and history; it owes its splendor to the Medici family, especially to Lorenzo De 'Medici who, thanks to his love for art, commissioned the masterpieces that we can admire today from Michelangelo, Brunelleschi, Botticelli.
The first stop on the tour is the Basilica of Santa Maria Novella with its splendid Romanesque facade and decorated with white and green marble. Michelangelo used the nickname "my bride" to emphasize its beauty.

Continuing we reach Piazza Duomo, an open-air museum. Here is the Duomo of Florence, or the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore with Brunelleschi's dome, an architectural masterpiece, is the largest masonry dome in the world (commissioned by the architect by Lorenzo De 'Medici). To the right of the Duomo is Giotto's bell tower, 84.70 meters high with 414 steps. Opposite the Cathedral is the Baptistery of San Giovanni, a masterpiece in which art, faith and history merge. The Baptistery has 3 doors: the south gate is the oldest, the north gate and finally the east gate called by Michelangelo "Gate of Paradise"; inside a wonderful mosaic will leave you breathless.
Continuing the tour, you arrive at Piazza della Signoria, the theater of Renaissance Florence; it was once full of houses and alleys, a place for the city market and for gatherings of the people. In the square there is Palazzo Vecchio, the seat of the Municipality since the Middle Ages. Before reaching Ponte Vecchio, cross the courtyard that surrounds the Uffizi Gallery (skip-the-line ticket can be booked, the visit lasts at least 2 hours).

Last stop of the day is Ponte Vecchio, one of the most romantic places in Florence, with numerous artisan shops, above all ancient jewelers; here you can still find numerous goldsmiths who make unique jewels.
During your walk you cannot miss the typical products of the area, including the schiacciata (focaccia stuffed with salami, cheeses etc) accompanied by a glass of good wine Chianti (red wine produced in Tuscany).
The departure from Florence is scheduled at approximately 18.00.
